More good economic news from Finance & Commerce. According the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, although the state's jobless rate held steady at 6.7 percent, the construction sector added 1,000 jobs in February. It's the second consecutive month of growing employment. Most of the new construction jobs came from among carpenters, electricians and other specialty trades.
Other sectors who gained jobs: Manufacturing by 2,400 jobs and the professional and business services sector, up 10,100 jobs.
