Minnesota Department of Transportation officials are promising to turn on their listening ears.
After launching an effort to prevent costly plan errors and project rebids earlier this year, the department says it’s making progress by improving communication with contractors, among other things.
The effort, known as the Project Development Process Improvement initiative, stems in part from at least two high-profile projects that had to be rebid this summer because of errors in MnDOT’s construction plans.
