Unspent bonding money totals $1.2B

Members who attended last week's board meeting will recall Speaker Zellers' response to a question about the bonding plan Governor Dayton had announced that morning. Zellers said that there already were previous bonding projects that had been approved but were either not started or incomplete. He suggested those be cancelled.

According to today's issue of Finance & Commerce, the unspent money for those projects amounts to almost $1.2 billion. Many of them are transportation projects programmed for future years.
