Governor signs environmental permitting bill with remarks

Yesterday, Governor Dayton signed the HF1 environmental permitting bill and, in an unusual move, sent a letter along with it to Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen and Representative Dan Fabian.

HF1 is designed to streamline and improve the permitting process and it orders the DNR and MPCA to expedite their processes and also, reduces the time taken for judicial reviews.
