AGC report: no quick recovery for construction

A new report from the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota offers little hope for a quick, robust recovery for the state’s construction industry.

The report, based on a survey of construction-related businesses in Minnesota, shows a slight uptick in positive feelings about market conditions. But the “positive signs are too weak to predict any recovery for 2012,” the report noted.

In short, the report indicates that 2012 will be better than 2011, “but not by much,” Dave Semerad, CEO of AGC-Minnesota, said during an AGC-Minnesota event Wednesday morning at which the report was unveiled.
