EQB issues silica sand report

The Minnesota Environmental Quality Board issued the Report on Silica Sand last week to provide background information on the topic of silica sand. The report provides the basis for more research and does not advocate a particular position, either pro- or anti-silica sand mining. The report looks at transportation systems, habitats and native plants, karst geology and groundwater.
