A rock quarry operation proposed for the Margie area got approval Tuesday on a 3-2 vote of the Koochiching County Board.
The Hawkinson Construction Co., Grand Rapids, will blast and crush rock and operate a mobile asphalt plant intermittently at the site located about 700 feet from the nearest seasonal recreation cabin.
