Minnesota construction companies banking on better times ahead

Four local commercial real estate and construction veterans are forming a new company called Anderson-KM Builders.

The deal, announced Friday, combines Anderson Builders and the KM Building Co. The new company continues to operate out of separate offices in Minneapolis and St. Louis Park and hopes to move into a bigger combined space this fall.

Joining Anderson Builders founder Greg Anderson and KM Building Co. owner Steve Faber in the new venture are former Ryan Cos. executive Kent Carlson and real estate development consultant Arne Cook.
