Construction employment dips again

The nation's construction industry lost another 9,000 jobs from May to June, according to a new Associated General Contractors of America analysis of federal employment data. The industry's unemployment rate was 15.6 percent in June, down from 20.1 percent in June 2010. However, construction employment is still down 29 percent from the peak in April 2006, AGC chief economist Ken Simonson noted.
